Cross Laminated Timber, or CLT, is an innovative engineered wood product made by layering kiln-dried dimension lumber – typically in three, five, seven, or nine layers – perpendicular to one another and bonding them with strong adhesives. This cross-lamination process creates structural panels that offer exceptional strength and stability in both directions, making them ideal for load-bearing applications.
Currently, TranDuc is the sole provider of CLT solution in Southeast Asia and owns the only CLT production facility in the region. Meeting the highest international standards such as that of New Zealand/Austraia, we are aligning with the global trend toward sustainable green materials. This commitment to sustainability resonates with Canada’s sustainability goals and modern construction trends.
CLT can completely replace traditional concrete flooring with multiple advantages such as reducing weight, speeding up construction time, lowering costs, minimizing resource consumption and reducing on-site waste. The application of CLT is not limited to floors but extends to walls and ceilings, offering various creative possibilities in architectural design.
